‘a performance that confirms Coro’s special place in the Canberra musical landscape’

Founded in 2011 by composer and conductor David Mackay and singer Paul Eldon, Coro is an award-winning chamber choir which has built a reputation for its innovative approach to performance and repertoire.

Coro follows the European festival chorus tradition of project-based rehearsals and performance, with a flexible ensemble and a commitment to note-learning without the requirement of weekly rehearsals. The result is an ensemble sound that is unique in Canberra for its freshness, polish and spontaneity.

Over the last fifteen years, Coro has presented a wide variety of Canberra premiere performances, including Richard Rodney Bennett’s thrilling The Glory and the Dream.
